Take better photos
Listings with clear, well-lit photos receive significantly more responses than those without.
- Shoot in natural daylight or a brightly lit room
- Photograph from multiple angles — front, back, sides
- Include close-ups of any damage or wear so there are no surprises
- Use a plain background to make the item stand out
Price it right
Search Open Bazaar for similar items to understand what buyers are paying. A competitive price leads to a faster sale.
- Check recently sold listings for realistic price benchmarks
- Mark as "Negotiable" if you are open to offers — it encourages more inquiries
- Slightly overpricing leaves room to negotiate; drastically overpricing kills interest
Respond quickly
Buyers often contact multiple sellers. Responding within an hour gives you the best chance of making the sale.
- Turn on notifications for new messages and calls
- Have a quick reply ready: "Yes, still available — when would you like to meet?"
- If the item sells, mark it as sold immediately to avoid wasting everyone's time
